Following the hugely successful, sold-out run of Sausage Sodas and Onion Bhajis back in May, broadcaster, commentator and writer Lata Sharma brings it back once again to The Studio this September!

Sausage Sodas and Onion Bhajis is Lata's love letter to the people of Northern Ireland, where she'll take you way back, long before the Good Friday Agreement to the 1980s and into the world of this sassy teenage Indian girl, born in Newtownards and reared in Belfast during the height of the Troubles!

Expect laughs, nostalgia, and maybe a few tears along the way, as this plucky girl with her cheeky wee Indian “bake” (Lata’s words), boldly embarks on her journey of trying to 'fit in' back in the 80s with her local mates, all whilst duckin’ and divin’ around the Orange and Green sectarianism, the racism, and not least, withstanding the wrench of cultural clashes from within her own home and community.
