The Grand Opera House, Belfast is the only Victorian Theatre in Northern Ireland. Built by the renowned architect Frank Matcham in 1895, it stands proudly as the only representation of his work on the island of Ireland.
The Grand Opera House is Northern Ireland’s home of live theatre, musicals and entertainment, bringing the best of West End shows to Belfast’s doorstep, with over 300,000 visitors per year.
Beyond the stage, the Theatre has a huge impact on the local community and the creative learning programme is an indispensable platform to experience the power of participating in the arts.
