FRIENDS MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The new Grand Opera House Friends scheme
Launching November 2019
A brand-new Friends scheme will be launched on 4 November 2019, and this is the scheme to choose if you want to save money on shows in the first year after restoration.
Membership for the new Friends scheme will normally last for 12 months, but if you buy a membership at any time between 4 November 2019 and 31 December 2020, we’ll give you a free membership extension until the end of 2021.
The new Friends scheme will have four membership levels, each with different benefits:
Under 26s This new, free-to-join level gives students and young professionals under the age of 26 the chance to buy tickets for just £10 for selected shows, or half-price standby tickets for all shows from 6pm on the day of the performance. Proof of age may be required when joining.
Bronze Membership Another new, free-to-join level gives you the opportunity to buy tickets 48 hours before they go on general sale, and be among the first to hear about new shows and special offers.
Silver Membership If you come to see two or more shows each year, then the Silver tier is likely to save you money. For an annual fee of just £40 you can take advantage of opening night and weekday matinee offers (typically 2-for-1 or 10% off), as well as free cloakroom facilities and a one-week priority booking period.
Gold Membership If you come to the Theatre more regularly, the Gold tier is the one to choose. For a £60 annual fee you receive the same benefits as the Silver tier, plus a 10% discount on most performances other than opening nights and weekday matinees, no booking fee, and 10% off drinks at the bar. And, as a Gold member, we’ll give you two complimentary drinks from the bar for every six tickets purchased during your membership year (selected drinks only).
Everyone can benefit from joining the new Friends scheme, so check back in November to be one of the first to join! In the meantime, if you have any questions about the current or the new scheme, please contact the box office on 028 9024 1919.
