Access for All Scheme

Our Access for All scheme has been designed to ensure that everyone is able to access and enjoy all aspects of Grand Opera House programming – performances, tours, outreach projects and the heritage exhibition. We have a range of services, facilities and advice on hand to assist with a variety of preferences, knowing more about you will help us to tailor our offering, and provide the best possible service each time.

If you require continual supervision or assistance during your visit you may be eligible for a complimentary Essential Companion ticket. The companion must be over the age of 14 , and be able to help with access to the theatre and its facilities, remaining with the theatre-goer to ensure their wellbeing and comfort. These tickets must be requested at the time of booking.

The Access for All scheme is free to join and you can update us at any time of any changes to your access requirements by contacting our Box Office. Your membership will be valid for two years, after which we’ll contact you to renew and update us of any changes.

Do you require a companion seat?
If you require continual supervision or assistance during your visit you may be eligible for a complimentary Essential Companion ticket. Your companion must be over 18 years of age, and be able to assist you in the event of a fire evacuation. This offer is not open or intended for those who simply want a companion or require assistance with transportation to the theatre.
