Following four sell-out performances of Sausage Sodas and Onion Bhajis this year, broadcaster, commentator and writer Lata Sharma is bringing the show back to The Studio in 2027.

Sausage Sodas and Onion Bhajis is Lata's love letter to the people of Northern Ireland. She'll take you way back, long before the Good Friday Agreement, to the 1980s and into the world of a sassy teenage Indian girl, born in Newtownards and reared in Belfast during the height of the Troubles!

Expect laughs, nostalgia, and maybe a few tears along the way, as this plucky girl with her cheeky wee Indian “bake” (Lata’s words), boldly embarks on her journey of trying to 'fit in' back in the 80s with her local mates, all whilst duckin’ and divin’ around the Orange and Green sectarianism, the racism, and not least, withstanding the wrench of cultural clashes from within her own home and community.
