The Grand Opera House has created a special project for young people aged 10-15 years old, taking place in The Studio from Saturday 25 October - Saturday 1 November 2025.

The project is proudly sponsored by Aircoach.

Led by a team of theatre professionals, over the course of six days participants will prepare to stage a production of Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical, JR., with a performance for friends and family on Saturday 1 November in The Studio at the Grand Opera House.

Forty young people will have the opportunity to take part in this project, which is open to all, with no previous experience required. This fun-filled week will be an exciting opportunity for young people to develop their confidence, learn performing arts skills and make new friends.

Participants are expected to attend every day of the project. Places are limited so don't miss out and book today!

The fee to participate in the project is £85, which includes two tickets for the end-of-week showcase performance on Saturday 1 November 2025.
