Birmingham Royal Ballet Training Classes
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to attend a ballet class with a leading ballet company? Or wanted to meet and be taught by a professional dancer?
To celebrate the arrival of the world-renowned Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Music and Dance events at the Grand Opera House, the company is offer a series of training workshops for aspiring dancers.
These repertoire classes are held in many of the Company’s touring venues and are designed to help support local ballet students and make their work accessible to local communities. All workshops are linked to the company’s current repertoire and led by a Birmingham Royal Ballet dance artist and a pianist. It is intended that these sessions will be inspirational to those taking part to continue their enjoyment and passion for dance.
Please note, classes are based on grade level rather than age at the time of participation. Participants should wear balletwear, i.e ballet tights and leotards with either bare feet or soft ballet shoes only. Please do not wear soft blocks or pointe shoes. We recommend that you bring a bottle of water along to the workshop.
