As children myself my brother and cousins where taken each year by my granny and great aunt to see the panto, the last one we seen with my grandmother before she sadly passed away was Aladdin, we normally sat in the grand circle ever year in the same seats but that year due to my grandmother being in a wheelchair we where on the ground floor seating area. That year my brother was picked to go on stage and sing with may and after the show a manager came and got us and took us behind the scenes to show us how the magic carpet worked as we had been asking him before the show, we met some of the cast including Lisa Riley from emmerdale, it was one of our best panto experiences as kids! After that we didn’t go to panto for a few years sadly but happy to say in the last 3 years we have again started this family tradition and now myself my mum, aunt and cousin have a day out at the panto each year …… in the same seats I always sat in as a child in the grand circle! Can’t wait to come back this year again 🙂
